How to Cut a Pineapple

Method
The first time we were shown how to cut a pineapple the Asian way we thought it looked a bit overcomplicated and time consuming but we quickly came to enjoy it. The method is an efficient way to get the most fruit out of your pineapple and a relaxing activity when you make the time to do it.
Chop of the crown and the slips (top and bottom) of the pineapple and sit it standing up on the chopping board.
Trim the outer fruit portion from the sides of the pineapple leaving the brown prickly dots.
Next, go around the pineapple slicing the brown prickly dots out in chunks.
Chop the pineapple into 4 quarters lengthwise and remove the inner part of the pineapple.
Chop the pineapple into edible sized chunks.
Finally, eat!
